FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PRESS RELEASE #3-11-14
IRVINE, CA (March 11, 2014) The Irvine Police Department continues to seek the suspect in a series of child annoyance and indecent exposure cases.
This afternoon, just after 1:00 p.m., a man matching the description from previous incidents of child annoyance in Irvine, approached a 12-year old girl as she walked home from school in the area of Paseo Westpark and Hearthstone. He asked for directions to a community pool but when the girl continued walking without talking to him, he followed her to her residence. No indecent exposure or attempt to make physical contact occurred. However, the man continued to try to talk to the victim even after she entered her home. The man’s physical description and the vehicle he was driving match a previous victim’s description.
