Movoto published a ranking of the safest cities in America today. Which one came out on top? It turns out that Irvine, CA is the safest, closely followed by these cities:
The city of Irvine is 3rd on Movoto’s list of the best places to live in California. Movoto surveyed 370 places in California with a population over 10,000. They looked at desirable factors such as quality of life, employment rates, commute time, crime rate and other factors.

Movoto took into account more than 25 criteria that “White People Like,” based on the popular blog and New York Times Best Seller from 5 years ago. Criteria such as soccer teams, tattoo shops, farmer’s markets and microbreweries were taken into account in determining the results.
Movoto’s first stop in finding what cities white people like was taking the 138 posts on SWPL and figuring out which they could theoretically measure. Of these 138 posts, they excluded media (goodbye “My So Called Life”) and people. They then combed the list again and winnowed down their criteria to 27 things.
