Irvine, Calif. (June 23, 2017) — Irvine Police Department officers are searching for a 12-year-old boy who was last seen at Kaiser hospital in Irvine on Friday morning. Michael Edward Roman is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 100 pounds, with short dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red Mike Trout/Anaheim Angels T-shirt, black shorts, black shoes with red trim, and a black Angels watch.
Michael is from Oceanside and has no friends or family in the area. Surveillance video at Kaiser, 6670 Alton Parkway, shows Michael leaving the hospital alone and heading toward Alton around 10:50 a.m. He does not have a cellphone or money in his possession, according to his family. Subject: Man and Woman Affiliated with Angelic Secrets Online Escort Agency Arrested on Human Trafficking Charges
ANAHEIM, CA – In mid-October of 2016, a parent contacted the Costa Mesa Police Department reporting concerns about his 17 year old daughter, who was a runaway, possibly being a victim of human trafficking. The Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF) began an investigation, which revealed the juvenile was in fact a human trafficking victim.
Following several days of round the clock investigation the juvenile was found in the company of Gilberto Antonio Castillo in Mission Viejo on October 18, 2016. The juvenile victim was rescued and Castillo, a 38 year old resident of Mission Viejo, was arrested for human trafficking of a minor. Continue reading
Orange County Sheriff’s Department: DUI Enforcement Operations Planned this Weekend
Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s DUI Enforcement Team will be deploying this weekend to stop and arrest alcohol and drug-impaired drivers as part of the Department’s ongoing traffic safety campaign. DUI Saturation Patrols will deploy on Friday, August 19 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. in the cities of Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods and Aliso Viejo.
Over the course of the past three years, DUI collisions have claimed 21 lives and resulted in 497 injury crashes harming our friends and neighbors. In addition to the pain and suffering of those immediately affected, a DUI can impact the economy. Conservatively, a fatality has a $1.4 million impact, an injury $70,000, and a crash that only damages property averages nearly $9,000. Continue reading

DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint Planned this Friday
The Newport Beach Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint on Friday, August 19, 2016 at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.
The deterrent effect of DUI checkpoints is a proven resource in reducing the number of persons killed and injured in alcohol or drug involved crashes. Research shows that crashes involving an impaired driver can be reduced by up to 20 percent when well-publicized DUI checkpoints and proactive DUI patrols are conducted routinely. DUI Checkpoints are placed in locations based on collision statistics and frequency of DUI arrests affording the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence. Sam Mangione, an 89-year-old resident of Laguna Woods was last seen on 8/10/16 in Laguna Woods at approximately 4:15 p.m. wearing blue dress shirt and green shorts. He has been missing ever since.
Mangione stands 5’10″and he weighs 189 lbs., with gray hair and hazel eyes. He suffers from dementia/Alzheimer’s and is believed to be lost. Continue reading
