A Public Forum will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, to update the community about operational findings and recommendations concerning the Irvine Animal Care Center. Led by Dr. Rick Greenwood, interim manager, the Public Forum, “Planning Our Way Forward,” will include details of the City Council-directed report by JVR Shelter Strategies.
The public is invited to hear about the process moving forward regarding animal spaces, cleaning protocols, housing modifications and development of a more structured volunteer program with a foster-on-deck component. The Irvine Animal Care Center cares for and adopts out about 2,000 animals – mostly dogs, cats and rabbits – each year. Continue reading
