SANTA ANA, Calif. – An Irvine man was charged today with threatening to set off a bomb at the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) and the Orange County Jail (OCJ).
Defendant: Pejman Abdolali Zanjani, 39, Irvine
Charged with the following felony counts:
- (2) False bomb report
Maximum Sentence: Three years and eight months in state prison
Pre-trial hearing on Aug. 2, 2018, 9:00 a.m. at Department C-55, Central Justice Center, Santa Ana
Circumstances of the Case
- On July 19, 2018, Zanjani is accused of calling the OCSD non-emergency line and yelling profanities at the dispatcher.
- During the call, Zanjani is further accused of threatening to set off a bomb at OCJ.
On July 21, 2018 the defendant is accused of calling OCSD a second time and threatening to blow up their office.
- OCSD investigated this case and arrested Zanjani in his home.
