Aspenn Jones, a 19-year-old Rialto man, pleaded guilty Monday to a string of burglaries in Irvine and was sentenced to four years in prison, according to court records, according to the O.C. Register.
Jones has admitted to committing at least 10 recent residential burglaries. His luck finally ran out when he was arrested by the Irvine Police Department after they received a report of a break-in on Reggio Aisle, on September 5, 2017.
Jones had broken into a home on Santorini and had surprised a woman who was sleeping. She woke up and he demanded her car keys. But the woman alerted her other family members and one of them chased Jones out of the house.
As the police rolled up that day they saw three girls in possession of stolen property. And then a sweaty and out of breath Jones showed up and the police arrested him.
Jones accepted a plea deal that included five counts of first-degree burglary, one count of first-degree robbery, six counts of attempted burglary and car theft, all felonies.
