Over $3,200 Raised at the 12th Annual Irvine Hoops Classic Basketball Tournament to Benefit Irvine Public Schools Foundation
The 12th Annual Irvine Hoops Classic, in honor of John B. McLaughlin, benefitting Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF) was held on Sunday, November 8. Over 350 students from 40 teams, representing 22 schools from Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) played in the tournaments, which took place at University High School and Irvine High School. The purpose of these tournaments is to promote school spirit and unite the Irvine community through district-wide sports tournaments for elementary and middle school children in IUSD. These tournaments provide opportunities for physical sports education and skill development, while raising funds for Irvine schools and awareness for IPSF.

- 5th Grade Boys – Orchard Hills School
- 5/6th Grade Boys – Orchard Hills School
- Co-Ed 5/6th grade – Stonegate Elementary School
- Boys Jr. Varsity 7th – South Lake Middle School
- Girls Varsity 7/8th – South Lake Middle School
- Boys Varsity 8th – Lakeside Middle School
