Dean of Trinity Law School receives rare honor
The Dean of Trinity Law School, Myron Steeves, was the fifth recipient of the Global Leadership Award from the U.S.- Korea Law Foundation at the July 25 “K-Law Day” held in Irvine, California at KIA Motors America. The award is given to those individuals that the US-Korea Law Foundation believes has shown exemplary dedication to developing comprehensive U.S. exchange program for Korean jurists and law students and businessmen; providing U.S.-Korea law classes as well as conferences, research, and other services specializing in US-Korea legal matters; developing job placement for lawyers and legal professionals in U.S. and Korea; and establishing a collection of literary material related to Korean law.
Since 2012, the award has been given to four other individuals including Woo-Jung Shim, Senior Public Prosecutor (Republic of Korea); Hon. Steven S. Choi, Ph.D., Mayor, The City of Irvine; Hon. Chulwhan We, Esq., President, Korean Bar Association; Eric G. Enlow, Esq., Dean, Handong International Law School; and Susan B. Myers, Esq., Director, Associate General Counsel, Hyundai Capital America.
The U.S.-Korea Law Foundation provides specialized education courses (i.e., law school courses and MCLE, etc) and practical solutions (i.e., conference, mediation, expert witness, research, etc) in U.S.-Korea legal matters. It is the goal of the foundation to train jurists under various programs with practice-oriented education and also to provide law students in the U.S. and Korea with practical alternatives to complement academic program.
