IRVINE, CA – The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is investigating a robbery that occurred today in an Irvine Bank and is seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect.
At approximately 11:38 a.m. today, Dec. 15, 2014, IPD responded to a robbery at Union Bank at 5311 University Drive. A male suspect handed a note to a teller and robbed the victim. No weapon was seen in the robbery and no injuries were reported. The suspect fled on foot.
The suspect is described as an adult male, age 30s, approximately 5”10” or 5’11”, 230 pounds, wearing a blue cap baseball cap and a dark grey hoodie.
IPD and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating this case and anyone with additional information regarding the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact IPD at 949-724-7000 or the FBI at 310-477-6565.
