IRVINE, CA (October 23, 2014): Information from a diligent witness led to the arrest today of Bishoy Fahmy (12/29/90) for committing two residential burglaries.
At approximately 1:00 p.m. on Oct. 22. 2014, a resident in a neighborhood near Jamboree Road and Portola Parkway in Irvine heard glass breaking and observed a suspicious vehicle near a neighbor’s home. The witness recorded the vehicle’s license plate number and then observed the suspect exit a neighbor’s home.
The suspect fled the scene and the witness contacted the Irvine Police Department (IPD) to report the crime.
Based on the license plate number provided by the witness, IPD detectives identified Fahmy. Detectives believe Fahmy committed two residential burglaries by smashing windows and entering unoccupied neighboring homes.
