A large plume of smoke from a brush fire in Silverado Canyon can be seen from a number of local neighborhoods, but authorities say there’s no imminent threat to Irvine.
Firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority are working to knock down the blaze, which reportedly broke out shortly before 11 a.m. and has since grown to cover more than 200 acres. The Orange County Register has the full story here.
