IRVINE, CA (September 8, 2014): City of Irvine Senior Services is seeking volunteers to help support the Rose Garden Café and Irvine Meals on Wheels programs in the following areas:
Rose Garden Café Server
Irvine Senior Services is looking for volunteers to provide assistance with plating food, serving meals, working as a cashier or washing dishes in the Rose Garden Café at Lakeview Senior Center. Volunteers must be 16 years or older and provide a current TB test with negative results. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Meals on Wheels Deliverer
Volunteers provide a vital service to older adults who are unable to prepare meals for themselves. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Volunteers are asked to commit one to four hours per month, provide proof of valid California Driver’s License and current auto insurance, and complete and pass a criminal background check. Training is provided.
