POWER CRUNCH APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING AND EXPANDS INTO NEW HEADQUARTERS
Growth of Power Crunch drives need for new talent and collaborative workspace
IRVINE, Calif. (Sept. 3, 2014) – Power Crunch, an innovative line of great-tasting protein bars, powders and ready-to-drink shakes, has hired Candice Peck as Vice President of Marketing. Peck will lead the company’s marketing and communication strategy to support its aggressive growth within the industry. Alongside Peck’s hire, Power Crunch has moved its headquarters to accommodate the company’s growth after more than doubling its employee count in the last year.

Power Crunch has become a key brand in driving category growth and revenue within the protein space. Its productivity per SKU is often the highest within the category and sales numbers reflect double- and triple-digit growth since last year. Power Crunch’s new field teams are also driving incremental sales up to 535 percent at retail with displays and sampling efforts. Power Crunch’s latest product released earlier this year, the gluten-free Crisp bars, is steadily gaining traction among consumers and in the coming months, Power Crunch will continue to expand flavor offerings.
To help support the company’s current and future initiatives, Peck’s day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing marketing strategy for Power Crunch’s entire product portfolio; leading the branding efforts behind all products; conducting market research; and initiating a strategic online and social media marketing plan.

With more than 15 years of marketing experience with consumer brands, Peck began her career with Schawk in 1998, a global brand development service agency, where she led the creative team for Kellogg Canada. Peck also touched package design and branding initiatives for iconic brands, such as Wonka, Nestle Ice Cream, Olay, Old Spice, Secret and more. Subsequently, she provided high level support for the Mars’ Pet Food account. By 2002, Peck left the agency world to work in-house and developed marketing campaigns and strategies for companies such as Ketogentics, Hero Nutritionals, Stremicks Heritage Foods, Big Train and Kerry Foods.
Power Crunch’s office space upgrade will take its square footage from 5,200 to more than 13,000 to accommodate the increased employee count and leave room for continued expansion. The new space is designed to foster inspiration and is conducive to creative, team collaboration. It’s located at 6 Morgan in Irvine, Calif.
