TRITECH DRIVES GROWTH FOR ORANGE COUNTY’S SMALL BUSINESSES THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH IRVINE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Organizations United Under Shared Mission to Guide Small Businesses through Challenging Market
IRVINE, Calif. (July 15, 2014) –TriTech Small Business Development Center (SBDC), an economic development program serving innovation-driven enterprises in Orange County and the Inland Empire, announced that as a result of its collaboration with the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, the group has successfully worked with 51 Irvine small businesses helping to generate more than $13 million in economic impact ($8 million in Capital and $5 million in increased sales); plus 105 jobs were created and 58 jobs were retained. TriTech SBDC began partnering with the Irvine Chamber of Commerce in 2013 in an effort to support innovation driven entrepreneurs and small business owners in the City of Irvine.
“Small businesses face unique challenges as they strive to gain a competitive edge, and most do not have the margin or bandwidth to pinpoint key areas for improvement,” said Mark Mitchell, director of TriTech SBDC. “We have been impressed with the commitment from Irvine Chamber of Commerce to invest in actionable resources that are helpful for small businesses and truly making a measurable economic impact for the small business community. Additionally, the research and findings identified from the Chamber’s Economic Vitality Council will be instrumental in charting the future for the businesses we serve.”
TriTech SBDC delivers programs and training aimed directly at helping small businesses navigate challenges associated with challenges such as the economy, funding and more. The program offers no-cost, customized and confidential one-on-one consulting – conducted by seasoned executive leaders – in key areas such as identifying capital, startup assistance, commercializing new technologies, marketing products/services and management. TriTech SBDC also provides low- and no-cost seminars and workshops, and frequently lends its expert trainers to present webinars through the Chamber’s Irvine Builds Businesses Webinar Series.
