Hybrid Agency ENVOY Adds Spencer LaCouture as Executive Vice President for Dittto, The First Offspring from its Innovative Ventures Program
IRVINE, CA. – Mar. 21, 2014 – The principals of the hybrid agency ENVOY are very proud to announce the addition of Spencer LaCouture as executive vice president for Dittto, the first offspring from the firm’s innovative Ventures program. The announcement was made by Michael Bennett, ENVOY’s managing partner, who leads the Ventures program.
An original offering from ENVOY, Dittto (http://dittto.com) allows companies to easily curate and publish powerful social advocacy to drive engagement and sales. Developed to elegantly address important communications needs observed among several high-profile ENVOY clientele, Dittto was released in 2013 in a limited – but still very powerful – form. The team continues to develop new features and perfect functionality, and as a result, Dittto will continue to evolve in coming months.
“With a strong financial background and holistic understanding of growth stage startups, Spencer is a leader when it comes to intelligently growing businesses and building customer relationships,” Bennett began. “We’re very excited to collaborate with Spencer though this venture, and together we look forward to making Dittto the world’s most intelligent and robust social advocacy platform.”
LaCouture joins Dittto from Goldman Sachs, where he spent nearly five years as a global project manager for initiatives between the U.S., Europe and Asia. There, he applied his expertise in consultative technology and risk analysis for top hedge fund clients, working directly with global managing directors in facilitating top-level business initiatives. He was also responsible for developing and administering training for new recruits.
Prior to that, in collaboration with leading university professors and the principals of multinational corporations and many NGOs in Africa, Spencer personally launched and managed a social venture competition to generate viable new social ventures that were international in scope and focused on sustainability. He spent the previous five years handling global wealth management, broker training and investment counseling duties for Morgan Stanley, and handling top-tier accounts for Cardon Healthcare Network. LaCouture holds a finance degree from Brigham Young University.
“Within ENVOY, I see huge potential that is very quickly becoming reality,” LaCouture said. “The executive team has cultivated incredible talent and instilled a culture of innovative experimentation that is changing the definition of a creative agency.
“The challenges with Dittto are exciting and breathtaking,” he continued. “With this very talented team, their culture of innovation and a lot of smart work, I look forward to building Dittto into something that will help brands easily maximize and leverage social advocacy in very powerful and profitable ways.”
