The Irvine Unified School District will hold four upcoming parent forums to provide information on proposed changes to the district’s high school attendance boundaries.
The sessions, each scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m., will take place on the following days (and at the following locations):
• March 12 at the Northwood High School Theater
• March 19 at the Woodbridge High School Staff Lounge
• March 24 at the Irvine High School Theater
• March 26 at the University High School Multi-Purpose Room
As it was explained at Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting — and as it’s indicated in the maps below — the vast majority of IUSD students will not be impacted by the recommended changes. But planning for the district’s fifth comprehensive high school requires a modest reconfiguration that may impact Irvine students who are currently enrolled in kindergarten through the sixth grade. Current seventh-grade students who live inside the proposed boundary for the new high school would also be impacted by the reconfiguration.
