Give your tree new life after the holidays by having it recycled. Waste Management of Orange County will collect and recycle Christmas trees, at no cost, from December 26 through January 17.
Residents with curbside recycling should place trees out at the curb on their designated collection day. In order to be picked up, trees must be free of all decoration, including lights, tinsel, ornaments, and stands. Trees taller than four feet must be cut in half. Flocked trees cannot be recycled but will be picked up.
Trees can also be dropped off, at no cost, at Sunset Environmental Transfer Station, from December 26 through January 18. Located at 16122 Construction Circle West, Irvine. Residents must show proof of residence in Irvine.
For more information about Christmas tree recycling, contact Waste Management Customer Service at 949-642-1191 or visit cityofirvine.org/environmentalprograms.
