By: Irvine Council Member Christina Shea
Tuesday night more than ever I want you to join me at City Council Meeting!
Tuesday November 26th 4pm, City Council will be discussing Five Point Communities Plan for the Great Park.
When I ran for council in November I talked with thousands of Irvine residents. The lack of progress at the Great Park and the rapid expenditure of the developer fees with very little to show for it was a top priority with Irvine residents.
Mayor Steven Choi, Lynn Schott and I promised you that if we won we would get the Great Park built! In 2010 election campaign Mayor Pro Tem Jeffrey Lalloway promised you if he won a seat on Council he would get the Great Park built!
We got that opportunity to make good on our promises when Mayor Choi and I won the November election. For the first time in 12 years we had a Republican Majority on Irvine City Council.
We hope that you will take time from your busy schedule and join us Tuesday at 4pm. We expect a large turnout and are providing ishuttle service from nearby Bill Barber Park. If you are speaking during public comment please let staff know so that they let you into Council Chambers if chambers are full.
To address the City Council on a scheduled agenda item, please complete the Request to Speak Form which can be found on the table at the entrance to the City Council Chamber.
Open session starts at 4pm.
City of Irvine, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine, CA 92623
