The Orange County District Attorney published a letter today containing the investigation findings and legal conclusions regarding the Orange County Sheriff’s Department officer-involved-shooting of Bryan McCluey, a schizophrenic man, in San Juan Capistrano.

According to the OCDA, McCluey was off his meds and was wielding a knife. Apparently he would not let his mom out of her house.
The Deputies shot McCluey twice and also tased him twice. He was holding a knife. He survived and ended up being sentenced to jail for a year and is on probation for five years.
