Scholastic chess players are invited to challenge their creative minds at the 38th annual Staser Fall Scholastic Chess Tournament presented by Hanley Chess Academy and American Chess Equipment on Saturday, November 23 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Historic Hangar 244 at the Orange County Great Park. The competition features a free unrated section eligible to all scholastic participants grades K-12 and a United States Chess Federation rated section, available to scholastic participants, grades K-12, for an entry fee of $12. Advanced registration for both the unrated and USCF rated section is required.
The Staser Chess Tournament was created by Miley Staser to give students throughout the southland an opportunity to meet over a chess board, enhance their learning and life skills through chess and make new friends.
