Subject: Burglary Suspect Arrested
IRVINE, CA (November 7, 2013): Irvine Police Detectives have arrested Joshua Priest (2-8-90) for residential burglary, commercial burglary and three drug-related warrants.
On October 24, Priest was confronted at the open door of a residence on Ardmore where it was later discovered, a burglary had occurred. Priest was later seen on surveillance video at an Irvine department store conducting a transaction with the victim’s stolen credit card.
Priest was identified after the surveillance video was released to the media on November 4. Detectives immediately began receiving tips which led them to Priest and his female associate. Last night, Priest was arrested in a hotel room in Orange. The 22-year-old Irvine woman seen with Priest in the surveillance video was also located and interviewed. The investigation into her involvement with the burglaries is ongoing. However, detectives will likely seek charges for her use of a stolen credit card October 24.
Priest was booked into the Orange County Jail where he is being held without bail.
