The Irvine Police Department (IPD) arrested two suspects for using counterfeit $100 bills to steal from local small businesses. The suspects are identified as Dyimond Campbell, 22, of Los Angeles and Niresha Collins, 27, of Inglewood. They were arrested for commercial burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, and making/passing fictitious currency.
On the afternoon of June 22, 2016, Campbell and Collins entered a restaurant on the 17000 block of MacArthur Boulevard and attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for an order of food. The manager recognized the bill as fake and called IPD. Continue reading
