FreshStart Piano Studio Grand Opening
A philanthropic piano studio is getting a brand new home in Irvine, Calif. FreshStart Piano Studio today announced that it will officially open the doors to its permanent brick-and-mortar studio later this month.
The studio fosters music growth and personal development for more than 100 children and adults. Conveniently located at 14980 Sand Canyon Avenue in historic Old Town Irvine, the facility features an office, teacher’s lounge, recital room and three lesson rooms – with one large room reserved for group lessons. Formerly a general store in the 1900’s, FreshStart Piano Studio owners have intentionally preserved the historic building’s classic vibe. The quaint and cozy environment reflects the culture and tradition of a family-owned startup.
FreshStart will host its official grand opening on March 31, featuring recitals and speakers from the Academy of Music for the Blind and Irvine News Blog is invited to attend. President and CEO of FreshStart Piano Studio Kevin Kao, along with his wife Clare Kao, have refined their approach to music education through methods that cultivate confidence and critical thinking. About FreshStart Piano Studio
In 2012 Kevin and Clare Kao founded FreshStart in Irvine, Calif., a family-owned piano studio that provides music lessons for children and adults. The husband-and-wife duo, along with Kevin’s mother Alice Tsai, have nurtured the startup, now known for it’s high-quality, specialty approach backed by sound pedagogy, and a solid, comprehensive music foundation set for its students.
“In recent years, piano lessons have become just another item to check off for college applications; it sucks the joy out of learning the piano,” says FreshStart Founder Kevin Kao. “When I founded FreshStart, I hoped to not only bring back the joy in learning such a beautiful instrument but to also instill in students a sense of grit and the value of perseverance.”
FreshStart is committed to enriching the lives of Irvine youth by helping every child recognize their own musical capabilities. Most notably, FreshStart works closely with the Academy of Music for the Blind (AMB), a nonprofit organization that makes music education accessible to children with visual impairments.
