Investigators Seek Public’s Assistance Identifying Burglary Suspect
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (March 2, 2016) – On Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at approximately 1235 hours, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residential burglary on the 1200 block of Buena Vista in San Clemente. The owner was not home at the time, but was alerted that someone was inside his residence using a motion-activated surveillance system that was connected to his phone.
After the alarm system sounded from inside the house, the suspect left the residence. Deputies arrived and they were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as male, dark complexion, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a dark-colored hat backwards, dark-colored jacket over a grey sweatshirt, dark-colored jeans, colored Vans with white side walls.
The loss was surveillance equipment from inside the residence and a watch.
At about 1540 hours the suspect was seen by patrol deputies in the area of Florencia in San Clemente. Deputies initiated a search for the suspect, but were unable to locate him.
