Deceased Male Discovered in San Clemente
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. – (November 14, 2015) – On Saturday, November 14, 2015 a body was discovered in a drainage area near San Clemente High School. The body has not been positively identified.
At approximately 12:30 p.m., an Orange County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue K9 team found a deceased male in the flood control channel between McDonalds and the San Clemente High School baseball field. The incident is being handled as a suspicious death investigation, but a manner of death has not been determined. Coroner officials are on scene, but positive identification has not been made and will be pending the Coroner investigation.
The body was discovered during the course of a search for missing person Nick Stevens. Stevens was reported missing from San Clemente and was last seen on Friday November 6, 2015 at the 7-11 located at 1802 N. El Camino Real. Since that time, homicide investigators, Search and Rescue, and air support have worked together to locate Stevens.
The Coroner’s office will conduct a thorough investigation to determine the identification of the decedent. No further information is available.
