City of Irvine to Host Second Parks and Park Facilities Community Workshop
IRVINE, CA (October 14, 2015): The City of Irvine is in the process of updating its Parks and Park Facilities Master Plan, which will provide the framework for potential upgrades to existing parks and the development of new parks over the next 10 years. As part of this effort, the public is invited to a community workshop Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza.
At the workshop, attendees will learn more about the Master Plan and have the opportunity to provide input regarding priorities for the types of park projects that should be included in the Master Plan. A previous workshop was held June 3. Other efforts to gather input on the City’s parks and park facilities have included focus group discussions, online and telephone surveys, and visits to local parks, where staff provided information and sought feedback.
