Free Summer Concerts Hosted by the City of Irvine
IRVINE, CA: This summer the City of Irvine will host six free concerts at Mike Ward Community Park – Woodbridge in Irvine.
The Sizzlin’ Summer Concert Series kicks off Sunday, July 12, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with Paperback Writer: The Beatles Experience and continues with four more outdoor musical performances featuring Savor: Santana Tribute Band, Sunday, July 26; King Kruk as Elvis, Sunday, August 2; Hot August Night: Tribute to Neil Diamond, Sunday, August 9; and Bella Donna: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, Sunday, August 16. Concerts start at 5:30 p.m.
Gourmet food trucks will be on site serving up a selection of culinary delights with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee and other non-profit organizations.
The summer concert season also features Symphony in the Cities, performed by the Pacific Symphony, on Sunday, July 19, at 7 p.m. Led by Music Director Carl St. Clair, the event will feature a full orchestra of musicians plus guest artists performing a classical guitar program. A musical playground for children will begin at 5:30 p.m. During this time, children can make an instrument, play drums, meet a musician and join a conducting clinic with Maestro Carl St. Clair.
