For Immediate Release: October 2, 2014
SANTA ANA – Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas and Chief of Staff Susan Kang Schroeder would like to congratulate Director of Public Affairs Farrah Emami on her eight years of service in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and wish her well as she accepts the duties as Press Information Officer at the Irvine Police Department.
“I am very happy for Farrah as she takes on this new challenge. At the District Attorney’s Office, we kept increasing her responsibilities, because she has a great ability to clearly explain difficult legal and law enforcement concepts. She will bring to the Irvine Police Department exceptional writing and communication skills, as well as, tremendous judgment and critical thinking abilities to handle any situation. She will be missed, but we are happy for her that she has an opportunity to take on a new challenge in the next step of her career,” said District Attorney Rackauckas.
“Farrah was selected as the Spokesperson from a pool of hundreds of applicants. She beat out people with decades of experience. I always compare her as being the Kobe Bryant in the field of communications, because she started very young as a raw talent, and just grew and grew in her skills, rising to an all-star as she became a veteran at her job. She possesses a rare combination of work ethic, attitude, and poise. She is going to be successful in any endeavor she takes on,” said Chief of Staff Schroeder
Emami has been serving as the District Attorney’s Spokesperson since 2006. Before joining the Office, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Loyola Marymount University.
