The incomparable impact of Miles Davis on the world of jazz will be celebrated this Friday night at the Barclay Theater in Irvine as it presents Jazzreach: featuring the Metta Quintet. Can you think of any jazz trumpeter, apart from Louis Armstrong (a very different kind of artist), to make as much of a dramatic impact on both music and pop culture as a whole as Miles Davis? One of the great icons of American music, the celebration at the Barclay this Friday night featuring the insanely talented and true-to-form Metta Quintet promises a comprehensive musical foray into the Miles Davis legacy. The performance this Friday night at the Barclay is simply another not-to-be-missed Irvine event.
