Help make the season brighter for a child whose mom or dad is in service to their country by donating a new, unwrapped gift suitable for infants or children up to 12 years old. Toy drive containers will be located in the lobbies of the Irvine Civic Center and Irvine Police Department, located at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine.
Toys donated will benefit the children and families of Irvine’s adopted Marine Battalion from Camp Pendleton. Donations will be accepted November 4 through December 9.

IRVINE, CA (November 27, 2013): The Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee is holding a special toy drive this holiday season to benefit the children and families of Irvine’s adopted Marine battalion from Camp Pendleton. Help make the season brighter for a child whose mom or dad are in service to this country and returning from deployment by donating a new, unwrapped gift suitable for children ages infant -12.
Toy drive containers are available in the lobbies of the Irvine Civic Center and Irvine Police Department, located at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine, and at the Orange County Great Park Visitor Center. Donations will be accepted through December 9 and distributed to service member’s families during a special holiday program.
The 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division (2/11) was officially adopted by the City of Irvine on September 15, 2007. Comprised of roughly 750 Marines and Sailors, the 155mm howitzer battalion’s primary mission is direct support to the 5th Marine Regiment in time of conflict.
