Moveon.org, a liberal grassroots organization, is responding to the shutdown of the Federal Government by targeting U.S. Representative John Campbell (R-Irvine). They have organized a protest that is set for today, October 1, 2013, at 12 noon at Campbell’s Office, which is located at 20 Pacifica, in Irvine.
This seems rather clueless as Campbell has already announced his retirement in 2014!
Here is an excerpt of Moveon.org’s announcement, sent via email today:
We’re headed to congressional offices today—in every Republican district across the country—to drop off signs letting them know that the tea party is over. Some folks will also bring bags of tea, to send a message: We’ve had way too much “tea” already—take it back!
It should be noted that Campbell is a moderate who voted for one of the big bailout bills. In no way is he aat all affiliated with the Tea Party.
If you want to sign up for this delusional protest click here.
why would this protest be clueless?? so what if he’s leaving in 2014 – he should it’s long overdue. john campbell is a former car dealer owner – campbell mazda and campbell saab – i bought both my cars from him and thought little of his intellect and capabilities then. he and the rest of his small cabal need to know they are still working for The People in CAPS now, and to shame an entire country and shut down an entire government and world economy for their small opinions is SHAMEFULL and DANGEROUS. i travel the world and they are shaming this entire country, let alone playing a dangerous game that is far bigger then their ‘noble cause.’ Read his website blogposts. he is not a ‘moderate’ and i direct quote his office which i spoke to myself today: campbell considers this a ‘noble cause.’ a delusional protest? racist kettle calling itself black.
how is this on a irvine news blog anyhow?
You silly people should be targeting Gary Miller. He’s actually in danger of losing his seat. Campbell probably had a huge laugh at your expense.
Campbell represents the Irvine area which apparently you’re unaware of, and his office is in Irvine. That’s why we wrote about this.
