June 25, 2015 marked the 50th Anniversary of the C-135 crash that killed 72 Marines and 12 Airmen aboard who departed from Marine Corps Air Station El Toro.
The crash took place on June 25, 1965, when a C-135 departed Marine Corps Air Station El Toro at 1:35 a.m. and crashed into Loma Ridge eleven minutes after takeoff with 72 Marines and 12 Airmen aboard. Continue reading
