A man and woman from Compton and Inglewood have been arrested on suspicion of stealing thousands of dollars worth of high-end alcohol from stores in Irvine and Mission Viejo, according to the O.C. Register.
Quinette Hall, 41-years old from Compton, and Richard White, 49 years old from Inglewood, entered an Albertsons on Quail Hill Parkway and stole alcohol, at about 9:40 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to the Irvine Police Department.
Albertsons called the Irvine Police and gave them a description of the suspects and their car.
Another burglary happened shortly thereafter at another Albertsons, on Alton Parkway. After the second theft, the suspects stayed in the area and incredibly they returned to the same store to attempt to rob it yet again!
This time the suspects were spotted by the store staff and they took off. An Irvine police officer who was nearby nabbed them in the parking lot and placed them under arrest. The police officer found over $1.4K worth of alcohol in the suspect’s car – some of it with the store security devices still attached.
The Irvine Police detectives found during their investigation that the suspects were responsible for four high-end alcohol thefts in Irvine and another one nearby in Mission Viejo, amounting to an approximate $13K loss.
According to jail records, Hall is a hairstylist and she is being held without bail at Central Womens Jail. Hall is set to appear in court on Dec. 21. White is a plumber. He was released on Tuesday.
