City of Irvine, Police Department
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, PRESS RELEASE #11/4/2013
IRVINE, CA (November 4, 2013): Irvine Police Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to identify two suspects connected to a residential burglary that occurred on October 24. The two suspects pictured above were caught on surveillance video, each using a stolen credit card at a local department store approximately 40 minutes after the burglary occurred.
On October 24, the resident of a home on Ardmore in Irvine confronted a male subject on the porch. At the time, the doors and windows of the home were standing open for ventilation due to interior painting. The subject was obviously startled and seemed to be concealing something in his hand as he backed away from the porch. He asked if the home was for sale, in a hasty attempt to explain his presence on the porch. Police were summoned a short time later but at the time, the victim was not aware of any loss. The area was checked but the subject was not located. Approximately 45 minutes later, the victim realized a theft had occurred from a vehicle parked inside the garage. Included in the loss were credit cards which had already been used at an Irvine department store as well as the garage door opener. It was also later discovered two BB guns were removed from inside the residence itself.
The male was seen with a female in a white, 2-door, compact vehicle outside the department store. They were seen walking together on surveillance video and again separately when each conducted a transaction with a stolen credit card.
Anyone with information regarding the two subjects should contact Detective Grange of the Irvine Police Department at 949-724-7124 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
